Chandra finds 84 hypersoft X-ray sources
Using NASA Chandra archive data, University of Alabama researchers reported 84 “hypersoft” X-ray sources across six galaxies in Nature Astronomy, objects bright below about 0.3 keV that vanish at higher energies and likely peak in extreme ultraviolet.
